The purpose of this group is to attend lectures, debates and exhibitions, to watch documentaries and to have in-depth discussions about philosophy, society, current affairs and everything else that makes this world go round. I'd like to have these get-togethers in nice and quiet places rather than in pubs. In my native language, we use the expression "talking about God and the world" when we mean to say that we talk about everything under the sun that matters. Rather than discussing a non-entity, I'd prefer to focus on the second part of this expression, exploring real things in the world and gaining a deeper understanding of life, mankind and the universe, hence the title of this group.
