88 Eastern pkwy, Brooklyn, NY
Time to explore the heart of Brooklyn and some of the most beautiful places in the City! The co-designers of Central Park, Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, deemed Prospect Park to be their masterpiece. After enjoying some nature and serenity in the lovely Botanical Gardens (free on Saturday mornings!) and Prospect Park, we'll traverse what may very well be New York City's best all-around urban neighborhood: Park Slope: the only NYC neighborhood to make it into America's top ten places to live ranked by the American Planning Association. Park Slope has some of the city's most elegant and late 19th century homes, enveloped by tree-lined streets. Interesting architecture abounds, from the drama of Grand Army Plaza to the Old Stone House, a farmhouse from the year 1699 that was one of the pivotal sites of the first major battle of the American Revolution - The Battle of Brooklyn. This will be a perfect opportunity to honor and remember the 4th of July holiday!
Due to the length of the tour I recommend bringing food to eat which will allow us to enjoy a picnic lunch. The adventure ends in the unique Gowanus neighborhood, a perfect place to enjoy a cold drink after a long and rewarding walk! We'll be ending near a subway station and directions to your next destination will be provided.
I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
