Tour includes a visit to the Morris Jumel Mansion where there we’ll enjoy a free Washington’s Birthday celebration in the oldest remaining private house in Manhattan which as Washington’s Headquarters in 1776. At 1:00 pm there will be reading by author Christine Wade who will read from her new novel “Seven Locks,” a story of one woman whose husband mysteriously disappears, at the dawn of the American Revolution. We’ll head downtown to visit Grant’s Tomb National Monument; Teddy Roosevelt’s Birthplace, and more!
Tour covers parts of the following neighborhoods: Washington Heights, Sugar Hill, Jumel Terrace Historic District, Morningside Heights, Flatiron District and Gramercy Park.
