Wildflowers in Ferrum

Wildflowers are abundant at Jim Bier's homestead outside Ferrum. Let's see what Mother Nature provides in this middle of the workday meetup.  A macro or other close focusing lens would be desirable along with a tripod.  I'll provide a few reflectors and a homemade light tent.  If there's any interest we'll explore speedlight lighting techniques as well.  We'll also cover "focus stacking" as a means to increase depth of field at macro distances.

Sorry I bailed out. I guess I didn't have enough patience to search out something to shoot. Cold spring affected lack of blooming plants.

Kirk, unique weathered detail shots at Jim's solar and wood heated house and grounds. Window, not solar panel heating. Horses and new barn the last time I was there 2 years ago, a small stream and so many wildflowers you have to watch where you walk. I asked Jim if he would object to people taking detail shots around the house and his answer, "I would never stand in the way of people creating art".
