Thanks to everyone who came out to the first conservEX adventure at The Hammond Farm! What a fantastic property!
This Saturday we will venture a little farther away from Roanoke to The Yost Farm in Catawba, VA. The highlight of this location is it's historic mill!
Just like last time, on-site to help us learn a little about the beautiful surroundings will be Master Naturalist, Diana Hackenburg from The Blue Ridge Land Conservancy! For those who are inclined to head a little deeper into the wilderness, come prepared with long pants and whatever other provisions you might need!
Admission is $15.00 for ER members; or $10.00 for OWL members; and an additional $2.00 if you bring a Model. You may also opt for $30 which gets you Yost Farm admission and Museum membership for future discounts. All admission fees collected will help support both The Link Museum & our great friends at The Land Conservancy!
So, here is the plan! We will be meeting in the back parking lot of The O. Winston Link Museum bright and early at 7am for those who wish to follow myself and Diana. Our group will leave no later than 7:20am! This will put us arriving at the Yost Farm around 8am. For those who may live a little closer to the destination than the museum departure point, here is the address: 3875 Catawba Road, Blacksburg, VA 24060.
Space is limited for these conservEX Meetups.
