Winter nights offer great opportunities for making extraordinary images, but you need to be prepared and properly geared up for the cold weather to take advantage of them. Join us for a (hopefully) near-freezing night of shooting in downtown Roanoke where we'll practice proper cold-weather techniques to keep us comfortable while we shoot. As a fun byproduct, we should get some great urban night shots, too!
(For ideas on how to stay warm when you're out in the cold, check out the writeup and posts from the meetup we did in January: http://www.exposureroanoke.org/events/46354312/ And if you have tips not covered there, please post them here!)
This was my first meetup. I enjoyed shooting with other people with the same interest.

Met some great new members and had a nice walk and shoot around Roanoke. Thanks to all who came out to take on the cold with us!

Going to be a beautiful night for this! Forecast is for around 40F with light wind. We'll meet in the Mill Mountain Coffee & Tea area (we are usually inside or just outside in the parking lot.) We'll talk about cold weather shooting for a few minutes and then head out to shoot in the surrounding downtown area. See ya shortly!
