Tail Chaser 5K

The Roanoke Valley SPCA has asked us to be the official photographers for their Tail Chaser 5K event. We'll be helping them with general photography and pet portraits in and around Wasena park.

Updated details:

"Registration starts at 7:30 - the actual race begins at 9:00 and the 1 Mile dog walk at 10:00. We have things going on until 1pm. We have more than 125 dogs registered so there should be plenty of good opportunities."

The event was challenging for me to photograph, it was fast paced at times. Most dogs do not stay still for long, sort of like kids. But it was fun for me.

The origional start time was listed as 11:00am. I have to work saturday morning in Bedford until 10:00am so was planing on being there around 11:30am to 11:45am. I guess I would not be any help since the time has been changed.

  They say they have events going on until 1pm, so there should still be plenty of shooting opportunities for people who can't make it at the very beginning.
