EECI 2012 Roundup

  • October 25, 2012 · 7:00 PM

Greetings LA EE-ers! We're excited to announce the next LA mEEtup will be on Thursday, Oct 25, the week following the EECI conference in Austin. The schedule is shaping up to have a great variety of topics and we're excited to share the best tips, tricks, and highlights.

We're planning a roundtable format with multiple presenters. Please let us know if you'll be attending EECI and are interested in sharing some highlights that you learned.

We'll be meeting in Santa Monica at CoLoft and we're hoping some of you folks might be interested in grabbing some drinks nearby afterwards.

Ben and I will both be at the conference in Austin so be sure to give us a shout if you'll be around!

Greater Los Angeles EE developers, represent!!

In case you did not see this, there's a survey about EECI2013 -- where and when and what to include.

In the WHERE section, Los Angeles is among the options -- yay!

    Link to survey:

Please vote up Los Angeles as top choice for your EECI2013 venue.

    Best,

    Susan

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for a great round table last night. I always enjoy talking (maybe a little too much) about EE, the community, and the future! I wanted to post a link to the Master Config file I mentioned a number of times:

    https://github.com/focuslabllc/ee-master-config

Also, here is a snippet sync extension that I found (I have not used it yet but it sounds like it does what we discussed last night) http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/snippet-sync-developer-license

    Cheers,
    David

    Thanks for coming out everyone!

If you haven't already, consider joining the movement for an ExpressionEngine group on Stack Exchange. It's really a phenomenal Q&A site and a has the reputation for a great community as well:

    Good Day ExpressionEngineers and ExpressionEnginees!

A handful of folks in the Southern California EE community made it down to Austin, Texas last week for the ExpressionEngine conference. By land, sea, and mostly commercial airlines, we've all made it back to LA and are looking to share what we've learned.

Come join us tonight at CoLoft for the EECI 2012 Roundup. We'll be meeting from 7:00pm - 9:00pm and four members of the community will be sharing highlights from different talks at the conference (http://eeciconf.com/us/conference/). Afterwards, we'll be grabbing a drink nearby.

We hope you can join us!

I was looking forward to coming up for this meet. Unfortunately I'm 10 hours north of LA and won't be able to make it back down. Have a great time!

I'm at EECI and it has been very good (the big news so far is Site Manager hands down). Lots to talk about, so let me know if you want to work out a short list of topics.
