Scandinavian Midsummer Festival

Come and enjoy the 18th annual Scandinavian Midsummer Festival! Have you wondered what it would be like to travel back in time to 1000 AD to a Viking village? Have you ever been curious and want to know more about the Scandinavian culture and its rich history? Now's your chance to partake in the incredible two-day celebrations and immerse yourself in the Scandinavian culture! Please read the following details, and take extra heed at the "Host expectation" section as well. Thank you.

When:We will meet at 9:15am. The Saturday festivities will begin at 9:30am.

***Please note: I won't be waiting for any latecomers. The group and I will be promptly moving into the festival grounds at 9:30am. If you feel that you won't be on time, you can still come but you will have to look for us within the festival grounds as we will likely be scattered, looking and doing various things.

End: As I will be hosting an event at 6:45pm this day, I will be leaving earlier, around 5:45pm to get to my location. The festival ends at 11:00pm. You are welcome to leave whenever you like.

How to find us: I will be standing at the little well beside the blue and brown Scandinavian building on Thomas Street. Please refer to the following picture on the right for reference.

Cost: The cost per adult is $10 for each day. Children 16 and under are free. You do not pay me, you pay the gatekeepers at the festival.

Parking: FREE!

Host Expectations: I am not a professional and as such I strongly encourage all attendees to this festival and future ones to explore and wonder the grounds freely. This is an "organic", loose event that is not strict and linear. In other words, if you choose to eat something and I, the host, chooses to listen to music then I won't hold you against your will. At the same time, we're all adults and I won't be your guide in this event as I do intend to have a good time as well. You are more than welcome to hang around with me, just please refrain from being clingy and go without any expectations in your mind. Remember, the main objective of this event and any festival event is to have fun, and that goes for the host as well!

***If you decide to bring family members or children you are responsible for them!

Waiver: The host, group, Scandinavian Community Centre, crazy vikings, festival staff and associates are not responsible in any way for attending members. Members who RSVP YES for this event are solely and totally responsible for their own personal safety and well being before, during and at any time after the conclusion of this event. The host, group, Scandinavian Community Centre, crazy vikings, festival staff and associates shall be held harmless and shall be unconditionally free forever of any and all liabilities, obligations and responsibilities to any of the attendees, guests and all third party individuals, relatives and representatives.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
