Do you like fish and chips, walking along the dock and being beside the water? Are you curious about the small Japanese community in Steveston Village? Have you ever been curious of the place and never had the chance to visit? Have you visited Steveston and want to visit again? And finally, do you like small, cuddly hypo-allergenic dogs? Well, you've come to the right place! This event will cover all of that at no cost to you! That's right, you can pet, cuddle and play with my dogs AND enjoy all that Steveston Village has to offer for the price of $0! Sounds fabulous, doesn't it? There is no schedule! This will be a very relaxed event with no expectations as the main purpose is to stroll about leisurely whilst being in the company of my precious canines!
When: Please arrive no later than 12:30pm. My dogs get anxious if they have to wait long and have asked me to tell you lot that they will only allow 10-minutes for any latecomers before we go about our way.
They might be coerced to waiting longer if you bribe them with dog treats.
How to find us: We will be standing in front of the "Gulf of Georgia Cannery" main entrance doors, or close to the statues in which is depicted in the above picture. You will see two small dogs with us, one black and one white. The cannery is located at 12138 Fourth Avenue, Steveston Village, Richmond.

Our Plan: Members that attend this event can choose to break into groups to explore Steveston Village at their leisure. We can decide on a place to meet at a certain time, if that is what everyone wants. I will be bringing my mother as a special guest who will help me manage my two dogs. There are many great things to see in this village, and there is no itinerary!
The black and white dog is named "Ginger Joan Jett". She is a Japanese Chin x Poodle and is 9 1/2 years old. She loves Youtube videos, being sung the "soft kitty" song from "The Big Bang Theory", anything "Joan Jett" and lots of attention.
The cream dog is named "Garth Brooks". He is a Shih Tzu x Poodle and is 9 1/2 years old. He is diabetic, loves food, kisses and more food! He is a very laid back kind of guy and loves to pee on posts, trees, mail boxes and whatever else he can pee on.
***Both dogs are friendly with people but they are terrified of larger dogs and animals. They do well with humans. Please do not bring any large dogs to this event. Thank you!
Host Expectations: I am not a professional or a guide and as such I strongly encourage to attend this event without expectations in their mind. We can choose to separate to explore the village in groups and meet at designated places and times. I will be looking after my mother and both dogs at the same time and will be quite occupied throughout. Attendees can choose to remain with us too.
Waiver: The host, group, dogs, affiliates and participating family members are not responsible in any way for attending members. Members who RSVP YES for this event are solely and totally responsible for their own personal safety and well being before, during and at any time after the conclusion of this event. The host, group, dogs, affiliates and participating family members shall be held harmless and shall be unconditionally free forever of any and all liabilities, obligations and responsibilities to any of the attendees, guests and all third party individuals, relatives and representatives.
