Ultimate FRIZZZZZbee!!

A few of us are getting together at Slocan Park for Ultimate Frisbee.

We'll have a few frisbees so we can practice, and all games are for FUN. We'll keep score, but points are not important, FUN and FRIENDSHIPS are!!

Everyone is welcome to join, no matter your ability to play!

• You may want to bring a water bottle.

• You can bring a frisbee, too, if you want!

Though, as a result of complaints, I have to add this (yet again):
    1. This is a NON-contact sport, which means no intentional hits/shoves/pushes/punches/kicks/eye gouging and NO unintentional ones either (refer to #2)
    2. If you want to jump/dive/skid/roll/sprint/etc for the disc, BE AWARE that others may be around. So if you collide with them whilst being a showboat, it's considered 'contact'
    3. Winning/losing shouldn't matter because it does not affect when/where/with whom/how/if you play again (and there are no 'tournament' points, so 'losing' is the same as 'winning' as long as we all have fun), and that is why points are considered secondary to the fun factor. Following that SOUND logic, please don't play as if your life depends on scoring or because it will inevitably come at the cost of injuring another person who is probably NOT playing for points - ya, someone who's actually read the event description before rsvp'ing
..now that's novel (<-- a dash of sarcasm)

      4. Some of us, no matter how 'good' or 'bad' or 'experienced' or 'inexperienced' (etc etc) at Ultimate, play quite a bit and would really really like to stay injury-free so we may continue to play and have fun

Accidents happen, but some accidents are avoidable. Please don't be 'Sammy/Sally Showboat', please don't be the person who injures others by constantly pushing themselves past these guidelines at the cost of injuring another.

Thanks for posting this Marc. I completely agree. We definitely needed to clearly define RECREATIONAL/NON-COMPETITIVE.
