“Just-4-Fun” Inter-Club Leagues (10 sessions/weeks)
In a nutshell, it’s a points-based system. You come, you play, and you score points each time you win a game. You don’t have to attend all 10 sessions/weeks, but at the end of the 10 sessions/weeks, it’s your accumulated total no. of points that determine whether you qualify for participation in the End of Season Tournament!
a) You automatically qualify for participation in your club’s league, although participation is not mandatory.
b) League games should be based on doubles play.
c) Everyone starts with nil points.
d) You score a point for every league game you win.
e) You score double points when you win a game against a team that includes someone at the top of the league.
f) You score triple points when you win a game partnering with someone at the bottom of the league.
g) You record your wins in the league book each week. The Organizer will tally up and publish a running list online.
h) You can partner with anyone, and play against anyone, even if your partner or your opponents are not participating in a league - you can score points so long as you win a game.
i) However, for your win to count towards the league, you must partner someone new for each league game you play during the course of a single session.
j) The organizer may reward bonus points, at will.
[League prizes to be published in due course.]
End Of Season Tournament (jointly hosted by the clubs)
Categories: Green (C+ or below), Orange (B-), and Red (B+ and above)
Eligibility: Top league participants, in the each category.
League points are not directly comparable across clubs so it does not matter if one player in a League has more sessions/more points than another player in another club. League points are for the purpose of determining seeding within individual clubs and to facilitate the short-listing of participants to the tournament.
[Full details to be published in due course.]
End Of Season Party (jointly hosted by the clubs)
We’ll have a big get together to celebrate our wins and reflect on our woes!
[Full details to be published, in due course.]
The club(s) reserve the right to make changes to the above without notice.
