Summer Workshops 2013: Arduino 3 (non-programmer series)

This is a series of 4 workshops geared toward beginners with no experience in programming.

Workshop #3 is intended as an eye-opener to what is beyond DC electronics. Still using the Arduino, you’ll be able to integrate more components in your circuits, like capacitors, pots, relays, motors and more!

About the kits for these workshops:
We have had some questions about whether people can buy their own parts. We are asking that you purchase the pre-made kit from us so that everyone has exactly the same materials. We have worked hard to source the best prices, and the only other comprable kits online (such as the Sparkfun Arduino Inventors kit) costs ~$30 more. We are passing the savings directly to you for our many hours of best-deal-finding.

The kit for Arduino workshops 1-3 includes : Arduino Uno SMD, Breadboard, Clear Self-Adhesive, USB Cable A to B – 6 Foot, Relay SPDT Sealed, Buzzer – PC Mount 12mm 2.048kHz, Mini Photocell, Hobby Motor, Trimpot 10K with Knob, Momentary Push Button Switch – 12mm Square, Resistor 10k Ohm 1/6th Watt PTH, 330 Ohm or 560 Ohm resistor, Diode Small Signal – 1N4148, LEDs, Tri-Color LED, Jumper Wire, 9v batteries, Shipping

Cost: $75 Class + $75 materials kit fee (only apply if you haven't purchased it on workshop #1) – includes Arduino, cable, wire, batteries, LEDs, and all necessary components.

      Hi Shirley, I'd say that the only way to join in the 3rd meeting is if you already have Arduino programming experience that would allow you to feel comfortable programming inputs and outputs. We will be starting this class with a 7-segment display that we'll learn to control.

  • you can cancel at least 4 day(s) before the Meetup
