Photo Opportunities For Car & Classic Car Photographers 08/14/10 & 08/15/10

There are two opportunities for anyone who likes to photograph Classic Cars and Racing Cars.

Both are in Millville, NJ and both are about 1 hour from Wilmington, DE and Philadelphia, PA.  Just get on Route 55 in South Jersey and follow the signs.

One is the annual Millville Classic Car show.  Here they close off about 8 blocks of the main drag known as High Street and 6 blocks of side streets, and it usually draws about 500 plus classic and antique cars.  There is no admission charge and it runs from 9 AM to 3 PM.  It takes place on Saturday, 08/14/10.  I suggest you try and get here before 8 AM if you want some nice photographs of classics before there are a lot of folks mulling around.  I usually show up about 7:30 AM.  Note:  don't bother if it is raining.

The second is the ARCA series of racing.  ARCA is a little brother of NASCAR, but the cars still put out 850hp.  This is a rain or shine event and runs 2 days Saturday and Sunday, 08/14/10 & 08/15/10.  This is a 150 mile race that takes place at the NJ Motorsports Park also in Millville, NJ.  Here is a link for the track:  http://www.njmp.com/   Of course there is an admission fee for this race, but children under 12 are free.  Saturday are qualifying runs and Sunday the race begins at 1 PM.
