FIBI Pasadena - Tony Alvarez – The Outspoken Investor
Dear FIBI Pasadena Members,
I am excited that we have Tony Alvarez coming to FIBI Pasadena. Tony is literally leaving the speaking circuit to move on to his version of a retirement. He has said that this year he is telling all his secrets because he is moving on. We get him on his last round here in the LA Area. Just so you know who Tony is and why I want him at our meeting I have attached his bio. Look it over and see why you would want to hear Tony share his investing secrets.
Just a reminder a few reminders: I will not be there in May but Ellis San Jose my Co-Organizer will be there to run the show and Debra will be doing check-in. The June meeting will be the FIBI Regional Mixer, more details TBA.
Tony Alvarez is a well-heeled, seasoned, knowledgeable and successful Real Estate Investor, licensed Broker, Developer and Certified General Appraiser; and has lived and worked in the real estate business in Southern California since 1981. Tony has built, purchased, rehabbed, rented and sold hundreds of properties from vacant land to condos, single family residences, apartments and commercial properties and is well-versed in the risks and requirements for success inherent in different types of real estate investments.
Tony made over $7.2 million buying and selling properties while working with professional real estate agents that specialize in selling lender-owned (REO) foreclosure properties. He did it all in seven years and in one of the lowest priced most depressed Southern California real estate markets, the Antelope Valley.
Today, Tony manages his portfolio of 67 rental properties and still works daily buying, fixing, renting and selling the same type of little inexpensive dilapidated houses he started buying over 20 years ago.
More importantly, He has an in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of Lenders and their REO (lender owned) departments. Tony’s knowledge of real estate, appraisal, finance, and investing is vast and varied. He brings a unique perspective to the real estate investment community.
In addition, Tony participates in giving back to our real estate community by helping new investors maneuver through the sometimes risky decisions and choices they must face when getting started; by speaking and teaching the truth of what he personally has learned works and what doesn’t. Tony also provides funding and equity shares with new and experienced investors alike throughout the Southern California area.
Tony is also a sought after speaker and has previously spoken at The Norris Group’s Multi-Millionaire Maker in 2005 and 2006, as well as, other Real Estate Investment Clubs and events throughout Southern California and Nevada.
