Great point SP and I almost agree is a waste of time to debate, but just a slight disagreement as these people need to be argued against so that our kids or our kids kids won't have to be brought up in this backward world with mainstream superstitious beliefs being so dominant. cheers back ;-)

Hi Chris,
You didnt put any dent on my arguement. People from different regions, different cultures, diffent religions have contributed to modern science. Some of those contributions were direct, some were indirect...some theories may still exist in their original form, some may have been modified or completely altered to such an extent that they can hardly be identified with their original form. Regardless they were done by  people(whatever his  religion may be) inquiring to the natural phenomena trying to give them a natural  explanation, rather than  supernatural ones related to any faith or religion. The ones with supernatural explanations never became  part of science. So thats why science is always secular, no matter what religion  the scientists belonged to. So arguing about muslim science is a misnomer from that perscpective. There are some nutters who would try to find deeper scientific meaning of some half baked statement in qoran and try to spin it as part of muslim science, if I have to argue with that bs, I refuse to waste my time with that kind of nonsense.Take Care Bro.

Hi SP, sorry to put a dent in yr argument, but ancient muslim culture was at the forefront of science many years ago, that is until it became infected with pollitics & sharia law etc. I agree that today muslim or for that matter christian science is quite laughable, however it's the very reason why these open discussions need to take place and to hopefully, eventually change deep seated predjudices about us as Atheists folk who are not so evil, cheers Chris

What the hell is a muslim science? He should be kicked out of any rational or scientific discussion group due to his stupidity and basic understanding of science. If you are a scientific/logical minded person, you should not argue with someone who talks about muslim science or christian math...I assure you it wont be very long before you realize the futility of it, because in the end you would find out that he really is not talking about science at all, he is talking about blind faith under the pretense of science. Another thing, if you have to argue with those nutjobs dont argue as a scientist, argue as a lawyer or politician with the purpose of maneuvering him verbally using logical fallacy and other tricks rather than true logic. You see when a scientist argues, specially with other scientists he primarily tries to get to the truth even if that means accepting the faliure of the validity of his own logic, and since we know a muslim scientist will never accept(or understand since they are logically handicapped) the limitation of his muslim-scientific logic, you will never be able to convince him otherwise.
p.s. sorry I cannt come, I had been out of Florida quite a while now. For those members who dont know me, I was actually born in a secular muslim family, but had been an agnostic since my late teen years.

Hi Trish, I don't wish to create panic or fear & would like to add that i don't even know the individual muslim referred to regarding this debate, and so on the contrary I believe that these are the very people whom should be openly debated regarding their silly beliefs', However I was just expressing my concern as I have travelled to several muslim countries, some were/are quite moderate, but parts of Egypt were quite disturbing where one is even repremanded for small public displays of affection with ones spouse etc. These morons in their ellement are trully mental, and I would not trust having any argument/debate with one/some unless I were sure they were frisked for weapons. If so, I'll go, cheers Chris ;-)

Not to be too judgemental, however I'd be quite wary to disclose to a muslim or any muslim group where one could find & meet a group of sworn Atheists at a site at a regualr time for debate etc. I may be taking risk aversion to the limit, however in my opinion, these are the most dangerous types of nutters on the planet today, and as they openly express their desire to overtake the world of infidels and infect us with their suppressive superstitious ways or kill all who disagree, I'd personally want metal detectors & security at the venue.
