For February, the book will be Manic by Terri Cheney. Sandy chose this book, and her description of it is as follows: It's a first hand account of a woman's experience with the illness. It spans a few years of her life after law school until her meltdown and loss of working life. Fast read, fast-paced. She practiced law in LA and represented movie stars including Michael Jackson. Now is a member of the Community Advisory Board of the UCLA Mood Disorders Research Program and founded a support group at UCLA's Neuropsychiatric Institute.
