FMA, Filipino Martial Arts, a different kind of MMA:

While many methods of MMA, Mixed Martial Arts, BJJ, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling are great for the young and very athletic, many of us are looking for a more conservative pace that is geared toward an older professional that still offers an aggressive combat system while providing a great workout to stay fit.

Enjoy a great value of $10 per class. Each class lasts 1 and 1/2 hours.

Hello Everyone. It feels good to see everyone having so much fun with our classes. I can tell that a lot of your are improving really well with your techniques. I know that at times our excitement to try the drills out and execute them can get the better of us. Please know that everyone gets to experience this as they enjoy their journey of training in any kali-arnis style. When learning a new technique or drill always remember to relax and to breath. Also it really helps if you slow everything down as you learn and execute the drills/techniques. This is the key to being super effective. To quote a famous corporal "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast, fast is lethal." [Corporal Womack]. So when you train, do not hesitate to tell your partner to do some of the drills real slow— to get the technique down pat.

Here's to your ongoing adventure in the world of Kali. We love it so much and we hope that you do too.

Thanks again guys for another great class. The weekly review of the footwork has been paying off for a lot of you. We are looking to introduce at least one or two techniques every week to keep things interesting, but always with a focus on the footwork. Thanks Ralph for the assistance with our first time and new member Jeremy, today. Because our moto is the Xchange of information and techniques, helping your fellow members advance in the art is a great way for you to Xchange what you have learned with the others in the group. Remember, it's always easier to get to the top of the mountain when those ahead of you are pulling you up and not pushing you down.

Hey guys sorry I had to miss last weekends class but I heard it was awesome . Wait til this upcoming class we will get into more fun techniques and of course footwork. The most important thing in any style is basics. Keeping it simple makes everything come easy and that is always the basics. So my fellow Kali addicts till we touch sticks again . We hope to see you all soon in class .
