Oh yeah, gotta do something. Not hard to do, as you said, nothing mean and lots of fun! Just one thing, Jesus is really coming 5/21/2011? My birthday is 5 days later and I was thinking, ya know if he could just hang back till May 26 and just make it a really special day. If he could hook up with me and arrange something. ya know, a suprise party for the guests! We could be sitting on the balcony grilling and quaffing some brewskies and my cell phone would ring. i pick up and theres J.C. and he says"what apartment you in again"? 301 I tell him and the buzzer goes off and I let him in. We're a little toasted but when he knocks and the door shall open, it's all J.C.!!!? "HEEEEEEYYYYYy JaaaaaayyyyyyyCeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!"!!!! He knows right where the fridge is and grabs a cold one and a handful of Dorittos and just hangs. he knows everybody and he's already working on a tan. The chicks are all over him. But then he does the "water into Shlitz Malt Liquor" thing and ya know, he's a cool dude.

I'm sending this to the Red River Freethinkers and the Atheist meetup group, so some of you will get this twice.

With the increased attention being given to the May 21, 2011 Second Comming prediction, maybe we should do something on that day. I'm not thinking of anything major, just a gathering of some sort and invite the public (maybe). It's a Saturday, so maybe simple picnic at a park, possibly one of the ones with Frisbee golf and big enough to fly kites. (Some folks in the meetup group have mentioned kites recently.) If there was an idea for something more formal, that would be okay, too. Maybe hire cheap entertainment--an acoustic band or something.

We could send a press release to the media, a playful release--nothing mean, pointing out what was going on. Maybe there would be some press coverage.

What do you all think?

Brian
