What we’re about

FileMaker Developers in Southern California (FMDiSC) started in March of 1999 with a small group of FileMaker Pro developers getting together once a month to exchange development tips and ideas. Over 20 years later, FMDiSC is one of the largest, most-influential FileMaker Developer groups in the world, with more than 250 intermediate and advanced developers interested in sharing their development ideas and experiences, and in learning how others work.

Our monthly meetings have become a local center for the exchange of technical information, discussion of timely topics, roundtable discussions of consulting/business topics, demos of new products and lots of peer networking. We generally have excellent meeting content provided by volunteers from our community as well as experts from around the world. If you have missed a meeting or wish to view past meetings, videos are posted at: https://www.youtube.com/c/FMDiSC/featured

The content is generally steered toward intermediate and advanced developers, avoiding novice topics found in beginner "user group" meetings. That said, visitors and new members are always welcome. There are no membership requirements, fees or dues. We also have a lively online discussion list that is available to developers that attend our meetings We generally meet on the second Friday morning of each month. Due to Coronavirus concerns, we have moved to online meetings instead of in-person. Check meeting announcements for the current correct location or link.

In order to see full details of our meetings on Meetup, please request membership, and answer the questions on the application. Your request will be approved by one of the Board members.
