How would you describe your knowledge and skills level of F#?

Basic, as I program and debug it is all clear, 5 mins after the code looks like hieroglyphics!! Akin to having great and exciting ideas in a dream or when you've consumed too much alcohol but only vague recollection of them the next morning :-)

Could you tell us a bit more about how you're currently using F#, or would like to use F# in the future?

Ultimately want to use F# monads for grid based back-testing and real time complex event processing, i.e. the same code should parallelise when working on massive datasets and run sequentially when real time response is the key.

What type of users group formats do you prefer? For example, 'deep-dive' tutorials and presentations, beer-and-pizza get-togethers, puzzle-solving and Coding Dojo sessions, etc?

All of the above.

Manager at a traditional C# software shop, looking to learn and practice functional programming techniques; particularly interested in how to get others to learn F# deliver projects using it. Much fun!
