Seating - 6:30 p.m.

Screening - 7:00 p.m.

Fabulous Door Prizes - 9:00 p.m.

Rating: TVMA (Contains scenes with extreme gore and some nudity. You'll probably want to leave the kids at home for this one)

Language: English dubbed

What it's about:

Combining killer action from the creators of Ghost in the Shell with hauntingly beautiful art from the makers of X, this award-winning film is the latest masterpiece in the Blood - The Last Vampire franchise. Saya is part human, part monster, and has one thing on her mind: REVENGE. Visions of twisted experiments and creatures slaughtering everyone she loved fuel her thirst for vengeance. With blade in hand and rage boiling in her veins, she tracks her tormentor to Tokyo, where flesh-hungry beasts have begun to feed. There, she joins a group of young hackers hunting for the same man. As Saya slices her way through lies, traps, flesh, and bone, how much blood will she shed to cut down the mastermind behind her madness?

We came we saw, we laughted, we cried, then we laughed some more. There was more comedy in this one than I expected. Many thanks to FUNimation for giving this back to the fans. We can all watch anime in our house, but this is the type of thing that builds a local community.

Hey guys. Here's a quick reminder of the Wolf Children Tugg for Arlington Texas that only has 9 days left and needs 58 more ticket preorders otherwise they won't show it. Here's the link to it: http://www.tugg.com/events/5978
This movie is definitely something to see in a theater setting with fellow anime fans.

I want to say it's English dubbed considering it's gonna be near the DVD/Bluray release, but I'm not sure if Funimation said anywhere that it is for a fact. Please help get the word out if you can.

      2 · October 29

    • Azul S.

Alright, thanks. I'll spread the word to my friends, I'm sure I can convince them to come :)

Had a blast. You Funimation peeps gotta keep it there at the Alamo. That pre-show was quite funky so to speak, lol. Hope you show something next month.. Cheers to all.

I have a plus 2 going and I am wondering is there a way to change it. One of the people can't show up so only have one person going with me. Unless someone wants to be my other plus.

This was a fun meetup. Thank you for putting it on!! My hubby joined who is not usually into anime and he liked it too. Thank you for helping me convert him! I am looking forward to next time and any future volunteering opportunities. Make sure to rate the movie (http://www.amazon.com/Blood-C-L...), rate the theater (http://www.yelp.com/biz/alamo-d...), and buy stuff on funimation's site (http://shop.funimation.com/Shop...) using promo code FUNATMOVIES!! for something seemingly thrown together, it went very well. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to watch shows on the big screen. I cannot wait for the next event.

Had a great time. My only beef is that the location is farther out for people coming for the Fort Worth/Denton/Arlington areas. Flower Mound was more central in the metroplex and gave people in the western side a better chance of being able to go.

That being said, I had a great time! Great movie and nice venue!

  • Angelique H.

Awesome as always!!! After such a long hiatus it was EXCELLENT comeback!!!! Great choice in movies, great location and great people!. Thank you!

pretty amazing i hope they do more in the future

Movie: kind of meh. I came in without really knowing the franchise that well. I guess that's my fault for being distracted by Attack on Titan.

Meetup itself: AGAIN! AGAIN! I don't care what you show, I will. That goes double if you show Rebuild of Evangelion 3.33. Well, not double as in bringing friends (they're in Houston), but double as in I'll clear my calendar.

It was great getting to share some time with fellow anime lovers! Plus the movie was a good followup to the last series.

Working late. Project to complete. My rsvp can go to someone else ; (

    October 28

  • Marshall G.

Looks like I can't go. Rather let someone else see it than take up a spot myself. If the screenings were on something like around the weekend that would be far better in the future.

    October 28

  • Sandi

We won't able able to make it after all. I've got Statistics homework to complete.

    October 28

  • Troy K.

I think I have it set up correctly, but just in case, I want to ask if this site will now notify me of future screenings or if I have to keep an eye on it myself?

    October 28

    • Michelle L.

You should get a notification when we post a new event.

      1 · October 28

  • Josh

UGH! I wanted to go to this so bad, but life always has to get in the way. 2 more slots just opened up.

    October 28

    • Michelle L.

Just remember to change your RSVP to "No" if you're not going so that people on the wait list can move up.

      October 28

  • bradly s.

If we are RSVP do we just show up and say our names or is there something we need to bring to be able to enter?

    October 28

    • Michelle L.

There will be a funimation table in the lobby. Check in with them. We will have your meetup username on the rsvp list.

      October 28

  • Charles Jerome M.

Can't wait, I hope traffic doesn't hold me up!

    October 28

  • Isabel StyleGeek M.

Can't make it :( 2 more opened up

    1 · October 28

  • Rojas

As Michelle mentioned, if you RSVP'd "Yes" but now can't make it, please change your RSVP to "No" so those on the wait list can get in. Thanks!

    October 26

  • Troy K.

I had to cancel so one more spot is open.

    October 26

  • Justin

Just canceled me and my plus one, so that's two open seats!

    October 25, 2013

  • Michelle L.

If you have RSVP'd "Yes" and you are no longer able to attend on Monday, please be so kind as to change your RSVP so that people on the wait list can get in. Thank you!

    2 · October 25, 2013

  • Andrew F.

Softball game came up.. So my spot is open.

    October 22, 2013

  • Derek J.

So how will we know if there are any no shows?

    October 21, 2013

    • Michelle L.

Derek, unfortunately there isn't any way to know beforehand. You have to go to the event and hope that someone doesn't show up. :/ Of course, if people know they are not going, they may be nice enough to change their RSVP to reflect that prior to the screening.

      2 · October 22, 2013

    • Derek J.

      Ok thanks!

      October 22, 2013

  • Melissa F.

Glad to know the deal worked out with the Alamo! If opinions on days of the week count, Mondays work for me.

    4 · October 21, 2013

  • Michelle L.

We are now at "wait list" status for this event! Don't worry if you're on the wait list, we usually have a few no shows, so you might still be able to get a seat.

    2 · October 21, 2013

  • Eathean W.

Its on my b-day, im totally going. that is if i get past this silly waitlist
