Rolling Stones in the Garden

This is not an exercise fad or a new way to commune with nature. After the crazy-good concert celebrating Queen's music in Bass Hall, the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and an unnamed but AWESOME rock 'n roll band are teaming up again to play hits from the Rolling Stones!

Is there still time to get a ticket?

For those who do go, the best place to park would probably be that stadium. I believe it's Farrington Field? Just a little north on University. Don't know if there's a cost for parking, but I have heard there will be a shuttle in case you don't want to walk.

Folks, I am bowing out of this event. I know it's bad form since I'm an organizer/host, but my heart just isn't in it because I don't think it'll match up to the Queen show...

I hope I can, just need to know what tickets to buy and where to meet.

If you coordinate the event then you get to decide where to sit and thus how much to spend; a consensus will likely be unachievable so it's your call. And, of course, a very clear understanding that anyone who comes had better pay up when you meet.

Given the seating situation & prices, I've kinda lost interest in doing this. Should I cancel the meetup, or does someone else want to step up and coordinate for this event?

I have been so looking forward to this, but the lawn ticket deal sounds not so good. Is anyone going to buy the white table tickets and what does that entail as far as seats?

    June 26, 2013

  • Rob

On second thought, a look at the seating chart shows that unless we get lawn seats immediately in front of the stage (by showing up hours in advance, which I'm NOT doing), we'll end up on the other lawn, on the other side of the road, roughly 1000 miles away from the stage. White table seats are $35 each...

I'm just going to get a $20 ticket - the website refers to it as a "lawn pass." Just Google the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra and look for the Concerts in the Garden link.

I haven't checked on seating/prices for several weeks. Meaning I haven't bought my ticket yet. Has everyone else purchased one? Let me hear from you all...

I'm interested, have you decided what section you want to sit in?

    June 15, 2013

  • Rob

For this event, I think the best way to purchase tickets is for us to agree on what area we want to sit in and then each person can buy their own. Since this is all lawn territory there won't be any actual seats so I don't think there's any need for me to reserve a set number of tickets and wait to be reimbursed at the show.

In response to Paul's question, I'm sure there will be a charge. I haven't looked at the FWSO website yet, but will soon. If anyone beats me to it, please feel free to leave info here regarding ticket prices.

I am very excited to go to another of these concerts. I hope the people who went to the Queen concert will go. We had such a fabulous time!
