Monty Python Live (mostly)

A very special event - possibly the last performance by the remaining members of one of the world's most renowned comedy troupes. I think it has already been recorded, and certain theaters across the US will be showing it. If we have enough interest we can get a group discount of $8/person. They might even be able to give us their smallest theater (I was told 88 seats).

We ran into friends who used to be active with freethinkers at the show. Susan Eades Harrison sat with us. We also had Bobby Wygant sitting next to us, for those who might remember she was a movie critic on Channel 5 back in the day and is a family friend of Toby's mother and father. You never know who's going to be around! But I don't know if anyone else was there from freethinkers. There were only about twenty people in the entire theatre! The show was once again fun. I saw the first run of the show in July.

The (mostly) live performance was well done. It was fun to see some of my favorite skits again.

Is there a place where people are meeting before the movie. This will be my first event, and I won't know anyone.

Ok. My # is[masked]-5885. I have Groupons that allow me to buy 20 tickets at 5 bucks each. Studio movie grill is a dine- in theatre that also serves liquor and beer. That said we need to be there early.

I have two Studio movie grill Groupons which will allow me to buy 20 tickets at 5 bucks each or 6.50 if I buy online. So... those interested send me an email. Or check Groupon to see if they have some left.

Sorry, Mark, it doesn't look like I'll be able to go. I'm going to ask if someone can trade shifts with me, but I'm not holding my breath for that to happen.

I wish I could be there but due to work it looks like I won't be able to make it. Will have a definite answer before long.

FYI, not one ticket has sold yet on the SMG website. I'm buying tomorrow and its going to be right smack in middle! I prefer the counter seats. It has a light and more room to put food and beer.

Be aware that tickets are 10.50 adult, 8.00 senior. I'm going for the senior price, they won't know! Other theatres are charging 18 bucks! If you want to sit close to one another share where your seat is with everybody. If we get 88 people that's the only way we can get the $8/person discount and our own theatre to our selves. Otherwise, buy a ticket and see ya' there. May the parrot resurrect!!

12 going so far; 76 more needed and 18 days to do it. With over 600 members, we CAN achieve that goal, but will we?

    Will try and make it

Hee, hee - Mark has not RSVP'd yet so I have us covered. Well, now he asked me to take off the plus one. He's getting himself.

It can't be the same without Graham Chapman, but it's still Python.
