Fencing - Wow that is so cool. Yup, last year we showed you how to engage in ancient warfare by learning archery, this year we are going to teach you fencing :)
Ever get that feeling how cool Antonio and Catherine were doing fencing :). Well, now you can do as well and feel like them for a day among some cool, funny, and awesome strangers :)
Date: Feb 4th, 2012
Time: 4 PM
Duration: 1.5 hours
Location: Brooklyn Fencing, 62 Fourth Street, Brooklyn, NY 11231
Cost: $20
Minimum RSVP: 10 people, Maximum 22 people
Level: Beginners to advance
Dress code: Athletic pants, sweat pants, long sleeves t-shirt, sneakers, shoes for the event. No shorts, jeans, boots or sandals. The location does have changing facility for men/women.
Public Transportation: Yes, the location is easily accessible by public transportation by taking a combination of A & G, or F & G trains.
After Event: As customary to all our meetups, we will hangout afterwards at a near by pub to talk about our new adventure and see how we will beat Antonio and Catherine :)
Price Includes:
- Instructor guided session
- Class will have warm-ups, stretching, an introduction to the basic movements, footwork and a few blade work drills; and then some bouting at the end.
- Fencing history
- All gears
- Meeting strangers, having fun, making friends - priceless :)
