Holiday Pot Luck Party

Let's  have a holiday party! Let's get it on our calendars now!

Do you have a special dish that you always bring to a holiday or other pot luck get together? We are asking you to bring that dish be it an appetizer, meatballs, casserole, soup, salad, bread, cake or pie. Our kind hostess Peg will be providing beverages: soda, iced tea, water and wine. In advance of this event, by December 1, please email Laurie your recipe for your classic dish so she can put it in a booklet for the occasion, a Fab 40+ special holiday gift for you [masked]

Join us for a holiday luncheon at the clubhouse at the above address.

In the holiday spirit, please bring a handmade gift for one of our fabulous members. Can you sew, bake, knit, make wine, crochet, create crafts, make candy, bake cookies or arrange flowers? Do not spend more than $8 on the materials for your gift. No need to wrap the gift but you may decorate it with a little holiday cheer. Please put a gift tag with your name on it so the lucky recipient can thank you!

For ideas on gift making please visit:

The suggested dress code is holiday casual

This event is just for Fab 40+ Members; no guests at this event. Please only sign up if you can attend from 12-2pm and last minute cancellations are highly, highly, oh so highly discouraged.

I just wanted to thank everyone for helping to make the holiday party so nice, especially Laurie, Nancy, Nona and Barb. I also wanted you to know that the food pantry at MOM was so appreciative for all of our food donations. Have a wonderful holiday!

What a wonderful event, thanks so much, Peg & Laurie, for organizing all this for us and for putting together the recipe booklet. I had a great time, the food was delicious and the company was terrific. The setting was "merry and bright" - just a perfect afternoon. Great to see familiar faces and to meet new friends. Thanks again for putting this together ladies, it was much appreciated.

Thanks so much to Peg and Laurie for making this such a wonderful event. While our previous Holiday parties were also great, this format made it so much easier to socialize with all the wonderful ladies in the group.

What a great holiday party. Thanks, Laurie and Peg, for your excellent organizational skills. Everyone is such a wonderful cook so I am looking forward to trying out many of the great recipes in the cook book. The Christmas tree was magnificent. I also liked the idea of contributing a food item for the food pantry. Happy Holidays, everyone!!

It's my first time at the group & the Holiday party so I have nothing to compare it to but it was very nice.
I just had a hard time finding food to eat due to food allergies & being Vegetarian. I guess it hasn't been an issue with the other groups I'm in on meetup since I'm not the only one so we label each dish so no one gets sick. Maybe something to think about doing for future potlucks?
The one dish I was able to eat safety without getting sick was the yummy Cheesy Hashbrowns by Sara Bishop and I'd love to get the recipe so I can make it at home. :D
I also enjoyed the gift exchange, it eas fun to see what beautiful things the women made and get ideas for next year. Thanks everyone!
    Happy Holidays! :)

This will be most fun! Peg, I look forward to seeing you. I rode with you and Nancy to Monroe Cheese Fest on my first meetup. Two wonderful people, plus other fun folks, plus cheese & chocolate. Not bad! I'd do it again ... Must come up with a good "hot dish" (as potluck fare is sometimes called in Wisconsin).
