Let's do a repeat of one of our favorite Meetups!
Even though winter is just starting, it's been brutal so far. Still, if we're going to live in Wisconsin we need to be hearty souls! (she says, before heading to Florida for a month!)
Bundle up and walk the Drumlin Trail for about an hour and then return for a mouth watering lunch at the 1855 Saloon.
Developed in 1986, the Glacial Drumlin State Trail is one of Wisconsin’s best bicycle trails. Starting in Cottage Grove, the trail goes east for 52 miles where it connects with other trails in the Fox River Sanctuary in Waukesha. Hikers do not need a pass. This trail has a good sized hill at the beginning and end, but is otherwise very flat.
The 1855 Saloon and Grill is the essence of fine-dining. 1855 opened in December 2007 and has been pleasing people from all over Wisconsin, and bordering states, with their great tasting food, wonderful atmosphere, and first class service. 1855 has received much recognition and accolades for the delicious cuisine and warm environment.
With all of it’s features, who wouldn’t want to enjoy a meal at 1855? When you first enter the building, you are greeted by a stunning bar and the wonderful scent of home made pizza cooking in the wood-burning pizza oven. Come see for yourself why so many people can’t stop talking about 1855 Saloon and Grill.
Trail parking is next door to the 1855 Saloon, or there is also parking in the lot behind the restaurant (they are adjacent to each other)
Walkers, we will plan to walk sun or snow, unless it's just too cold or trail conditions are too slippery. In the event the weather is just too bad, we will just meet at the 1855 for lunch at 12:00, and maybe take in a movie at an east-side cinema afterward. Watch for an update closer to the event.
Bring your walking shoes or boots, a bottle of water or your favorite hot beverage, and don't forget the sunscreen!. For trail etiquette visit: http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/trails/Etiquette.pdf

Refunds are not offered for this Meetup.
I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
