Saturday is supposed to be fairly nice, so let's go get some exercise at the Middleton Dog Park. We'll stretch our legs and exercise our buddies at the same time. After a couple of days of rain, mine really need a good run!
If you have a dog, bring 'em along. If you don't, come anyway for the fresh air and exercise. We will meet at the picnic table near the entrance and head out by 9:35 for about a 45 - 60 minute walk. This park has a 3/4mile loop trail. This trail has very good drainage so conditions should not be too bad, but be prepared for some possible muddy spots.
For those interested, we'll head over to the Hubbard Avenue Diner afterward for brunch. It should be cool enough to leave the dogs in the car while we nosh. If you are planning to come just for the brunch, plan to be there around 10:45.
If you bring your dog, a Dane County Dog Park license is required. Day passes available on site if you don't have one for your pet.
The Middleton Dog Park is located on County Hwy Q, about 2.5 miles north of Hwy M in Middleton. The dog park has a brand new area for agility training for your dog - check it out! It is on the left hand side of the road as you head north toward Waunakee. It's easy to miss - look for the sign for the Middleton Compost area, it is in the same place. If you get to Hwy K, you have gone too far!
