SRA Volleyball Courts
If you are looking for the indoor meetup... the schools are closed for a month every summer. They close all Fairfax gyms to do maintenance. We will resume indoors on Sundays mid September.
There is a another group that plays on Sundays on the A court. This is going to be on the B court ONLY(the one on the hill). Please do not go to the A court!. This will be limited to 18 people max. Please don't show up if you haven't rsvp'd. I don't want to have more than 3 teams max rotating in. Please don't put a + 1 in your comments either. If you want to play and it is full, stop by in the early afternoon around 1pm and take the spot of someone leaving. Thanks! Duane This meetup is for competitive players who have a good working knowledge and skill level of volleyball. Please don't come out if your only experience is backyard/bbq volleyball. You need to be at a BB level or higher. If you haven't played competitively, this is not for you. To keep it competitive, I reserve the right to ask you not to come back if you don't meet these requirements. If you hit the ball over the first or second hit, you are not understanding me. Bump set spike please! Now, with that said, please come enjoy the sun, sand, and weather with us at the outdoor courts at SRA off of Monument Drive in Fairfax. This is limited to 36 players, so please everyone RSVP. Bring lots of water, sports drinks and snacks! Also, don't forget sun screen, bug spray. Please keep your attitude positive and comments friendly or you will not be welcome back. If you can't make it on time, please feel free to drop by later in the day and jump in if we are still playing. Also, don't forget to pick up your trash and leave the place the way we found it! Please note that this is a public court. If someone gets there before us, we can try to join them or wait for them to finish. If you are planning your own outing at these courts, please contact me in advance so I can adjust the time of this meetup or work with you so our groups don't have any contention over the courts. My email address is [masked]. Please feel free to contact me. Thanks, Duane
