$2 Movie Night - The Butler

Please join members of the Fairlington Social Club for $2 Movie Night @ the Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse located at 2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA 22204 on Monday November 4, 2013 for the 7:00 PM showing of the movie "The Butler".

The doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7:00 PM.

Admission is just $2.00.

There are no previews or trailers so when they say that the show starts at 7:00 PM they mean that the show starts at 7:00 PM.

Look for the FSC tabletop signs in order to find the group.

Several FSC members will be arriving at 6:30 PM in order to stake out some real estate, have a bite to eat, and order some drinks before the show.

The theater management is persnickity about saving seats so if you arrive late, do not expect to sit with the group.

The Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse, http://www.arlingtondrafthouse.com , is a unique combination of a full restaurant  located inside a movie theater. Moviegoers can enjoy a full restaurant/bar menu and table side service while sitting in oversized comfortable chairs.

(2013) (PG-13) (132 minutes) The Butler tells the story of a White House butler who served eight American presidents over three decades. The film traces the dramatic changes that swept American society during this time, from the civil rights movement to Vietnam and beyond, and how those changes affected this man's life and family. Forest Whitaker stars as the butler with Robin Williams as Dwight Eisenhower, John Cusack as Richard Nixon, Alan Rickman as Ronald Reagan, James Marsden as John F. Kennedy, Liev Schreiber as Lyndon B. Johnson, and many more.

Saw this movie a few weeks ago and really enjoyed it. Thought Oprah was especially good. Would happily see it a second time, but alas, no can do tomorrow. Have fun!
