$2 Movie Night - Dallas Buyers Club

Please join members of the Fairlington Social Club for $2 Movie Night @ the Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse located at 2903 Columbia Pike, Arlington VA 22204 on Tuesday March 11, 2014 for the 7:15 PM showing of the movie "Dallas Buyers Club."

The doors open at 6:30 PM and the show starts at 7:15 PM.

Admission is just $2.00.

There are no previews or trailers so when they say that the show starts at 7:15 PM they mean that the show starts at 7:15 PM.

Look for the FSC tabletop signs in order to find the group.

Several FSC members will be arriving at 6:30 PM in order to stake out some real estate, have a bite to eat, and order some drinks before the show.

The theater management is persnickity about saving seats so if you arrive late, do not expect to sit with the group.

The Arlington Cinema 'N' Drafthouse, http://www.arlingtondrafthouse.com , is a unique combination of a full restaurant  located inside a movie theater. Moviegoers can enjoy a full restaurant/bar menu and table side service while sitting in oversized comfortable chairs.

(2013)(R)(117 min) Matthew McConaughey, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his role in this film, stars in the Dallas Buyers Club as real-life Texas cowboy Ron Woodroof, whose free-wheeling life was overturned in 1985 when he was diagnosed as HIV-positive and given 30 days to live. Jared Leto, who won the Academy Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his role in this film, stars as Rayon, a flamboyant HIV-positive cross-dresser, who helps Woodroof establish the club in order to provide medications to AIDS patients.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
