Fairlington Community Center , 3308 S. Stafford Street , Arlington , 22206. June 25th, 9:00 am- 12:00 pm.

Volunteers will be removing invasive plants from the stand of trees that lines 32nd Road South between South Utah Street and South Stafford Street. English Ivy and Japanese Honeysuckle will be the target species, with identification guidance provided on site. Volunteers should bring water, a snack, sun screen, and insect repellant. Wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and long sleeves. Work gloves and clippers are also recommended. A limited number of poison ivy before-and-after wipes will be provided. For more information, email Lenny Bankester at vsonorthvirginia at yahoo.com.

It's fantastic that they are doing this - thanks for posting! Wish I could help out, but too much committed time and too much else to do today.
