Faith Talk Toastmasters Club was chartered in 2001. It began in a church, but it is not a Christian club as far as types of speeches and membership. The club is open to the public; members are voted in by club members who are in good standing. Our meetings are learn-by-doing workshops in which participants hone their speaking and leadership skills in a no-pressure atmosphere. We evaluate each one another's presentations; this feedback is a key part of the individual's and club's success. Meeting participants also give impromptu talks on assigned topics, conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar and parliamentary procedure. If you are looking for a place to practice and/or enhance your communication, public speaking and leadership skills, Faith Talk is the place to be. We love visitors, too! Be warned, you will not want to leave.
