A *SIMPLE* (don't let the name scare you) and FUN (if prolonged) game that is dynamically challenging of life through the ages, no experience required.

Cancellations without a doctors note shall be met with mandatory throwing you into a volcano, even if not a virgin (we gotta work with what we got (great line from Cabin in the Woods movie- you should watch it)). :P

8 Month old puppy is here give you hugz/attacks! Do not feed the puppy, or leave things on the floor where they WILL get chomped on! ;)

Lots of street parking. As for anyone using transit, it's pretty good, a non-inclusive list has the following;

[masked] are 1 block away

10 72/73 414 are 5 blocks away

Many of those busses can be caught at the Lions Park LRT or Sunnyside LRT as well.

"ADVANCED" CIVILIZATION is a game of skill for up to 9 players. It covers the development of ancient civilizations from the invention of agriculture c. 8000 B.C. to the emergence of Rome around the middle of the third century B.C. Each player leads a nation of peoples over a map board of the Eastern Mediterranean and Near East as they attempt to carve a niche for themselves and their culture.

    Let's see, game end placement (more or less);

    1st RM ±0pts, 2nd Bruce B -100pts, 3rd Gabriel -150pts, 4th jgbaxter -1300pts, 5th Bruce II -1900pts, 6th Bob Sielaff -2800pts.

    As I said, out of the race after being constantly hammered from secondary effects after the Civil War (which as I've always felt is a broken card that's too random (although that technically wasn't not the reason I lost heh).

    Ah well, the redesign will be coming for A-Civ, I shall call it; B-Civ (lol) for Better Civilization (maybe, funny though). =)

    I've scheduled my next A-Civ game to host in last December. Feel free to wait to signup or do so early. This game will be a variant version that will have a sexy print and play custom game.

    It's something similar to Struggle of Empires but more in depth.

      I think you'll like it. I'm just hoping I don't have to play Great Britain... all nations have a pretty equal chance of winning (based on VP scaling versus Empire power), so Belgium can beat Germany in VP, but they might not be able to beat them in a war.

      I only get to play this once every couple of years but it's fun for sure, variable end time means that everyone can decide if the game ends early to play other games... =D

      Ah yea, on 'why I don't want to play Great Britain'; It's a huge Empire massing the globe, it has massive record keeping and many VP considerations to watch out for, as well as the most difficult to improve its situation... then again, it is fun too.
