This play is a musical story about a small town in Alabama. A stranger who happened to play the blues went by the name of Marvell Thunder and he mysteriously became close to the Dupree family. Marvell Thunder challenged the children of Jaguar Dupree-was lucky enough to be the only one who beat him in a guitar playing contest. The play started at Arena Stage in 1999 and has continued to sell out at venues around the country. The musical was written by Keith Glover and the music and lyrics are by Keb 'Mo' and Anderson Edwards.
I have a smart phone so people can email me via meetup if they can or can not attend.
Will send out my cell to people who have responded yes in a later email.
Parking is FREE in the Pearson building square building where the play is taking place. Plenty of parking there. Plus nearby street parking.
Please make sure you meet me close to 7:30 since we want to get good seats because I forgot to mention that the seating is not reserve seating. I believe Ronni mentioned that.
