This gentle loop hike offers first rate views and scenery while visiting a number of historic Mt. Tamalpais sights along the way. These will include the 3,500 seat Mountain Amphitheater and the West Point Inn, where we will stop for lunch and enjoy a beautiful vista that includes the Bay, San Francisco, the top of the Golden Gate Bridge and the Pacific Ocean.
The hike covers 5 miles and about a[masked] foot elevation change. Wear good hiking shoes and bring plenty of water.
We will gather at the Pantoll Ranger Station parking lot located at the junction of Panoramic Way and Pantoll Road. Parking is available at the Ranger Station for an $8 day use fee; there are several free spots available across the road for early arrivals however. Afford sufficient time for the winding drive up to the Ranger Station; it is 8.5 miles from the Highway 101 exit and can take from 20-30 minutes depending on traffic.
This and other Mt. Tam guided hikes will be offered for a $5 fee payable by PayPal or by check in advance. Refunds only if hike is cancelled/postponed.
