We're getting in shape! If we hike at a fairly strong intermediate pace over 3 hrs, we can potentially burn 1000 calories. Way Cool! The hike is about 6 miles with an elevation change of about 1000' mostly on fire roads. We'll be going up, down, up and down again. Your thigh, butt, calf, lower back and hip muscles will probably feel it a bit the next day--all good! Bring water, snacks, sun screen, sunglasses and hat (I'm an optimist), real hiking shoes, layers, wind protection, possibly gloves and hiking poles for those complaining knees--you'll need those poles. We'll hike in drizzle but not in heavy rain. Let me know if I've forgotten some important info. Thankx.
