3 Hour FRIDAY Early Afternoon Hike -- Tennessee Valley to Green Gulch and back.

We're getting in shape! If we hike at a fairly strong pace over 3 hrs, we can potentially burn 1000 calories. Way Cool! The hike is about 6.5 miles with an elevation change of about 1000' mostly on fire roads. We'll be going up, down, up, down. Your thigh, butt, calf, lower back and hip muscles will probably feel it a bit the next day--all good. Bring water, snacks, sun screen, sunglasses/hat (I'm an optimist), real hiking shoes, layers, wind protection, possibly gloves and hiking poles for those complaining knees--you'll need those poles!! If you only want to do half the hike (just the first up, down), then join us, knowing that you'll go back to the parking lot on your own. The hike time doesn't include leasurely meandering through Green Gulch...that would add another 1/2 hour. We'll hike in drizzle but not in heavy rain. Let me know if I've forgotten some info. I'll send contact phone number on the morning of the hike to those who have confirmed. Thankx.
Pls Note: After the hike, traffic will be a bear going north 101, but clear going south.
Directions: Stinson Beach, Hiway 1 exit from north or southbound 101. Head west (toward ocean). From 1st stop light, drive 0.3 miles to Tennessee Valley Road and make left turn. Drive about 1.5miles?, drive to the end of the road/parking lot.

Regret not being able to meet Kathleen. Count me in, Morna; the Green Gulch route is a nice one, especially on a nice day and in nice company. Win-win.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
