The Grand Budapest Hotel

Friends have been to this and some think it's ok, some think it's a bit tricksy. Time to make up my own mind!

I enjoyed this film immensely. Sweet, funny, beautifully acted with pace, the threat of war and brutality never far away, making sure the film didn't become too sugary. Great cameos. Sorry if I missed people before the film, and of course the fire alarm as the credits rolled - lucky it wasn't 5 minutes earlier! - meant there was no chance to hang around afterwards!

Well I loved it! Very good mix of fast pace, great humour (dark and light) and what a famous line-up too. Want to watch other Wes Anderson films now.

I loved the cartoonish visuals - Adrien Brody has a natural cartoon villain face

Hi Diane, there is no parking at the venue. You can park in Gunwharf Quays undergound car park, or a council car park on Havant Street off the Hard. I think it is signposted. There is also car parking on St George's Square just past the Hard. I think that's £2 in the evening.

Hello Diane, welcome to the film club. You can't pre-book at No 6, but you can pre-order by emailing the cinema direct and asking them to reserve a ticket for you.
I'll be in the café area from about 6.30pm.

Yes please! This will be my first meetup with the group, so looking forward to meeting some of you. Am I right in thinking you cant prebook?

Hi Diane. No 6 cinema is huge so not a problem getting in. If you want to sit near us let's meet before the box office 20 mins before the start time. Can get a drink there to take it.
