First Friday Skate with the Detroit Blading Co.
Here's the real beauty of skating in Detroit -
Someone once said, "No one else much uses the streets at night, so we might as well skate them."
It's great! Imagine skating for miles on wide, smooth pavement, with little or no traffic to interfere. There's nowhere else in the world like it!
Meet Friday, August 7 at Rivard Plaza on Riverwalk. Skate starts at 7pm. Cyclists welcome.
Join us on this 6-10 mile slow-paced skate through downtown Detroit. It is for anyone who can brake and is comfortable skating with light traffic.
• Helmets are required. Wrist guards, knee and elbow pads are suggested.
• Please bring a water bottle and blinkie light.
• A parent or guardian must accompany children under 18.
DBC will provide braking and street smarts clinic from 6:15 p.m. – 6:45 p.m
