Calling all models, make-up artists, hair stylists, and wardrobe stylists!

Fashionable Causes is hosting our first editorial photoshoot and the theme is The Modern Marie Antoinette.  We'll be shooting in the elegant George Peabody Library at John Hopkins University, which is renowned for it's beautiful architecture.  Marie Antoinette was an 18th century spoiled Austrian princess who became the over indulgent, fashion-crazed, rococo rockstar Queen of France.  She is the originator of Haute Couture fashion that has inspired designers like Christian Dior and Chanel.  Marie Antoinette flaunted high fashion and lived the lifestyle of a rich brat during a time that France was experiencing financial turmoil.  In this editorial we will showcase our interpretation of the Modern Marie Antoinette who is a young fashionista that achieves the appearance of the princess lifestyle through high fashion looks that are affordable in our current troubled economy. This fashion editorial will be a part of our fundraising campaign for Children's Cancer Research.

Space is limited.  We have a photographer, and we only need 3 models, 1 MUA, 1 hair stylist, & 1 wardrobe stylist.  You will not be allowed to attend if you have been a "no-show" in the past.  Commitment and professionalism of participants for this event is essential to its success.

$10 donations will be collected at the time of RSVP.  These donations cover the administrative costs of producing the photos, editing, making photo CDs, and postage fees to mail the CDs for your portfolios.  Our events are much like a walk for cancer where donations are collected when you volunteer to participate, only our fashionable charity events are much more fun!  Your small donations make a huge impact because we are able to put more of our sponsor's money towards finding cutting edge cancer treatments for the children who need it.

We have secured a new location for this event. Currently we are trying to bring designers on board to make everyone look fab! Once we have a better idea on wardrobe, we will contact each of you to see your availability and reschedule the shoot and a kick off meeting. I'm super excited! I hope you are too!

Hi Nisa! Thanks for your interest! I have enough models at this time. If I can get more than one make up artist, then we may be able to accommodate additional models. Be on the look out for some other charity photoshoots that'll be posted soon.

ATTENTION VICTORIA:: ashley will not be able to join us because of timing so that opens up one more model spot. Malinda from Trinity Hair Boutique is interested in helping with hair, shes waiting for you to contact her for further details. OF COURSE you have your wardrobe stylist on speed dial at ALL times, MWAHH! ATTENTION ALL:: as with any shoot all models should come ready with a clean face, 3 outfits, basic makeup, shoes, and accessories. We provide SOME things but cannot proivde all so if you want your pictures and this shoot to be as successful as possible come as prepared as possible. Also all outfit need to be approved so if your not shopping with us you need to send in a picture of what you plan to wear and get the okay from Victoria. DONT wait until the day of of the day before to send your pics in, lets do this right. =) also remember little things like shaving, nails, and skin care prior to the shoot. all these things make for a better picture. ~Ariel <3

I am confused on one matter. Is wardrobe going to be provided, or are we to bring in our own outfits?

      November 6, 2012

    • Victoria

Traditionally we require you to submit your 3 wardrobe pics and we'll help polish them. For this shoot you need to come up with your vision for your interpretation of modern marie since each model has a different personality, attitude, and energy. We'll help you put together wardrobe that brings that vision to life. This allows more individualism, and we can try to pull from more resources such as designers to aid with wardrobe.
