I am 25 years old and I live in the Baltimore metropolitan. Currently I work as a Cancer Researcher and I am finishing up my masters in Biotechnology and Biodefense. I am a self proclaimed fashionista and love the idea of fashion for charity! Shoes and purses are my fashion addictions. I try to make positivity a lifestyle, and do whatever I can to be uplifting to others. I hope that through this meet up I am able to bring people together to make a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
I'm most interested in raising money for research on rare or difficult-to-treat diseases. Breast Cancer research is important, but it has already been publicized, which has created a great wealth of contribution. There are other cancers such as Sarcomas that have extremely limited treatment options and people should be aware of diseases like that as silent killers in our communities.
I dabble in a little bit of everything! I love a sweet and chic look on some days, and other days I want to rock an edgy look. Right now for me, Spring is all about florals, pastels, lace, and frills! So as soon as it warms up you all we see me sporting these mega-girly styles. A great deal of my fashion inspiration comes from Korea and Japan. I think they have a surprising take on fashion, which is always stylish and refreshing.
I'd love to do a little bit of everything, but I think my strengths are in event planning and handling the legal stuff :)
Hey everyone! I'm the founder of Fashionable Causes and the organizer of this meet up. I'd like to welcome everyone and thank you all for your interest.
Fashionable Causes is definitely a budding non-profit organization and there are an increasing number of people supporting this group with their creativity, talents, and gifts. This group stands out from other groups in that it has direction and purposeful goals in mind.
