"I used to be a chemist - then a strategist - now a startup guy.
My passion is building things. I see pain and I want to solve it. I did that by building data products as a chemist, as a corporate strategist and now as a software entrepreneur. I've been apart of a handful of successful exits and a few wipeouts. It's all made me a better builder.
I believe in the Customer Development and Lean Startup methodologies of product development and startup building. I have my own twist that blends my experience at a variety of stages of development - bootstrapped, angel funded, venture backed and corporate run.
I've spent the last year digging into HTML, PHP, MySQL, JS, GitHub, StackOverflow, AWS, iOS & Android - enough to be a better product leader. I've done a few Git commits myself ; )
I've spoken at MIT, Michigan, Harvard & UCLA events and conferences from SF to Lisbon.
