How would you describe your camping skills? Beginner Intermediate or Pro?

I'd say beginner. I'm a 15 year Army vet and have my fair share of time in the woods but haven't done much actual camping as a civilian.

What is more important, getting there (achieving a certain hike time or mileage) or savoring the journey (looking at small details, taking photos, etc.)?

The journey by far. Whether I go 2 miles or 10 miles, I'm looking for those breath-taking moments and views.

Are you most interested in hiking, camping, backpacking, or paddling?

I guess hiking and paddling.

If you are interested in paddling, do you have your own boat or would you need a rental or loaner?

I would need a rental or loaner.

Do you have an outdoor skill you would be interested in helping others with? If so, what is it? (yes, things like knot tying or camp cooking count!)

Not sure that I have a particular skill.

I've always enjoyed being in nature. A recent back injury has kept me from being as active as I once was but I still enjoy a good hike and have recently gotten into canoeing and rafting. I'm also involved in the local open mic scene.
