How would you describe your camping skills? Beginner Intermediate or Pro?

Intermediate, I've been on multiday wilderness campouts without needing to borrow anything so I must know how to pack. Still haven't made a fire from rubbing sticks together but I do OK with flint and steel (i.e. a lighter)

What is more important, getting there (achieving a certain hike time or mileage) or savoring the journey (looking at small details, taking photos, etc.)?

The wise traveler does not think of his destination. lao tse . . .and the truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.

Are you most interested in hiking, camping, backpacking, or paddling?

Kayaking, off road bicycling, and hiking -- in that order . I usually camp when it fits in with whatever else I'm doing

If you are interested in paddling, do you have your own boat or would you need a rental or loaner?

Do you have an outdoor skill you would be interested in helping others with? If so, what is it? (yes, things like knot tying or camp cooking count!)

Fairly good at helping people re-enter their boats when they only roll 1/2 way.

I make it a point to get out every weekend. I'm always interested in meeting others who enjoy the outdoors.
