I am an engineer from Laurel looking to expand my social circle. Also, I'm quite fearful that the right hemisphere of my brain will atrophy someday if I don't exercise it once in a while, and joining this group seems like a great way to do so.
I'm a voracious reader and am usually comfortable with most genres - non-fiction, historical fiction, mysteries, sci-fi, comedies, etc. - anything but "chick lit" or harlequin romances, really. An easier way to answer this question would be to list a couple of authors that I just have not been able to get into: Gabriel Garcia Marquez and Salman Rushdie. I'm not much of a fan of their non-linear and fantastical storytelling style, but maybe I just need to put forth a bit more effort.
I work in Annapolis, so evenings after 6:30 or weekends generally work best for me.
When I was about 8 or 9, I read a 2-volume National Geographic publication on the mammals of the world over and over again. For a while, I could name the genus and species of any animal from memory. Yep...
Hey Kedar can post your photo's from the cunningham falls trip?
That's still totally awesome though. I know plenty of people who are PM's in their field without having the cert. Industry taught is better in most cases anyways. Besides now if you ever wanted to get your cert it would be a breeze! :)
Hey Kedar! Welcome to the group. I'm studying for the PMP now and trying to rack up my hours. Since your already in the field, how do you like it?
