The mission of Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House is to provide comfort, care and support to children and families in Southern California.

Families travel from around the world (volunteers who speak another language are very much welcome!) to bring their children to CHLA for its world renowned treatment of pediatric cancer and bone marrow transplants. The LARMH provides these families with inexpensive, and often free, lodging close to their child's place of treatment. The House also serves as a haven of hope where families can share experiences and offer comfort to each other.

We will bring a large salad and dressing. We also have children's clothes, shoes and toys to donate. Molly, is this a good venue for that or is there a more suitable opportunity?

I don't think they'll need the 'in kind' donations for the children. It's just serving the lunch. Since it's close to Easter, I believe someone suggested little gift bags or goodie bags.

Birgitte, I recall this facility lacked knives in particular so good point! Please bring your own knives. They seemed to have everything else in plenty.
