Hi, everyone! This is something I'm really interested in doing. I'm eager to see more opportunities to contribute to this cause.
When I see the unfortunate on the side of the road asking for food, I just want to pull into the next restaurant and buy them things off the menu. I understand they have other issues and or reasons for being homeless but one should never deny another person a bite to eat. I've felt sort of greedy at times for not following through. I've recently started reading my bible and learned from Proverbs; "The people will curse him who withholds grain, But blessing will be on the head of him who sells it." (Proverbs 11:26)
I understand that it's a problem you can't just throw money at. It's like a disease. You have to treat, and care for it first to cure it.
Hello Jason, we are so fortunate to have you come join us again this Saturday. The facility doesn't have the ability to cook the hamburgers as far as I know. But that sounds like a great idea for a future event! For this time, if you want to bring something meaty, may I suggest fried chicken or other type of chicken that is easy to serve? If you have an Albertsons near you, I think the manager will give you a 10-20% discount if you inform him it's for the homeless. THANKS!!
