Redmond's Old Town Historic Core

Join this walking exploration of Redmond's Old Town Historic Core on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 5:00-7:30PM and connect with city and community leaders.

This free, interactive event will lead participants through both the new and historic portions of Redmond's Old Town and discuss community planning in this historic area.

Redmond city staff will provide updates on private development, the Cultural Corridor, and capital projects including the Cleveland Streetscape, Downtown Park, and the Redmond Central Connector, which won Feet First's Walkable Washington Innovation Award.

For the second half of the walk, join an urban diary exercise and share your observations and ideas for enhancing the Historic Core's character and vibrancy.

For families and those who enjoy an extra challenge, we are incorporating a few geocaching opportunities along the event route.

And, for anyone interested in continuing the conversation, please plan on a no-host dinner at the Eastern Pearl following the event. Redmond's local historian will join and will be happy to share stories and discoveries regarding Old Town history.

Did you happen to miss our June 6th Walk & Talk? You can still send your thoughts for the Old Town Historic Core by completing the urban diary at www.redmond.gov/history Complete the diary by July 4, 2014 to have your ideas be part of our next event, "Like Redmond's Historic Core" at Derby Days on July 12th.

Thank you again for connecting with us and helping us plan the future of history.

A great event! Thanks to Feet First and the City Of Redmond for organizing. The future potential for the down town core is staggering (and a very near term future).
