Zealand Trail is reached by following Zealand Rd. (FR 16), which leaves US 302 at Zealand Campground, about 2.3 mi. east of Twin Mountain village, to a parking area on the left 3.5 mi. from US 302, just before a gate. The parking area is a stop for the AMC’s Hiker Shuttle. Zealand Rd. is closed to public vehicular use from mid-November to mid-May, and at those times hikers and skiers must not park at the gate or along the highway, but must use the parking area across US 302, east of Zealand Rd.
